One third of the people who live in the city of Duluth are living in poverty or are considered to be working poor. Community Action Duluth is doing whatever it takes to help people who are struggling to cover basic needs.

What are the requirements?

  1. Income within (at or under) program guidelines:

  2. Live, work, attend school, or worship in St. Louis County
  3. Have a steady source of income from employment and the ability to make monthly payments
  4. Able to provide a minimum down payment
  5. Able to meet basic credit standards or be working to repair credit
    1. No bankruptcies within the last year
    2. No back-owed child support
    3. No current judgements (where a collector has taken you to court and the court has said you must pay them)
  6. Have a current valid driver's license

How do I apply?

  1. Attend a Community Action Duluth Orientation offered Tuesdays at 1pm and Wednesdays at 5:30pm at 19 N 21st Ave W Duluth, MN
  2. Complete an application; you can pick one up right after orientation! Applications can also be found by clicking on the Application link on the top right sidebar of this page.
