There are many ways to take action at Community Action Duluth. Click on the following links for more information.
Oppose Voter ID!
Watch these short videos produced by the MN League of Women Voters to see why Community Action Duluth is opposed to Voter ID measures proposed for Minnesota. Will YOU be able to vote if this passes? We are currently working with a group of local non-profit agencies to fight against photo id requirements for voting, locally and at the state level.
Attend a Circles of Support meeting.
We need your creativity, ideas, and energy to end poverty in Duluth. Please see the Big View Issue Summary Page for issue updates on issues we discuss at the Big View meetings.
Become an Ally.
An Ally can be anyone, with any level of resources, who wants to share their time, talents, and support to program Participants. After completing a mandatory Ally Training Track, an Ally will team up with other Allies to form a Circle of Support with a Participant.
Be a Free Tax Site volunteer.
In 2010, 92 volunteers donated 2,800 hours to prepare tax returns for 1,518 families.
Come join us next season to be part of the fun!
Attend RAW - Race Awareness Workshop
Where Talk Leads to Action. This workshop is designed for cross-cultural dialogue about the institution of racism. It is a catalyst to bring about understanding of the personal, structural, and systemic realities of this problem.
Donate to the program of your choice.
Of course, your donations will always be put to good use, to support our work toward ending poverty in Duluth.
