Having knowledge about how to save and budget money in order to make life choices like purchasing a home is a huge accomplishment. In this 16-hour free engaging and interactive class you will gain skills in managing your money and improving your credit. This class is open to everyone and required for people in the FAIM Matched Savings program.

You’ll learn:

  • Budgeting to create savings
  • Understanding credit cards
  • What’s in a credit report
  • Improving your credit score
  • Getting out of debt
  • Dealing with collectors
  • Avoiding predatory lending
  • Getting a mortgage
  • Preventing identity theft

You’ll also earn a Homebuyer Education Certificate.

Nearly everyone has said they wished they had taken this class sooner.

Free childcare and a meal are provided at each class.

There is no charge for the class.

Eligibility
This class is open to people interested in improving their financial skills.
