This summer Richard Howell, Construction Crew Manager, has divided his time between his regular role with Community Construction and distributing bikes for the BikePlus program. Individuals with transportation barriers, people looking to better their health, or folks who just want to enjoy bike riding all have the opportunity to receive a free bike through our Bike Plus program.

Last week at the Lincoln Park Farmer’s Market, Richard passed out 10 bikes to kids who didn’t have one. The two girls in the photo were so grateful for their new bikes, as was their mother, who thanked Richard for saving her $200 on new bikes. She can now use that money towards food and other necessities, and getting the girls ready for the upcoming school year.

Really enjoyed reading this post. It’s inspiring to see initiatives like BikePlus making such a real difference in people’s lives, especially by helping families overcome transportation barriers and giving kids the joy of owning a bike. Small community programs like this can have a huge impact on health, mobility, and confidence. I also recently came across a discussion about community wellbeing on a review blog called https://grandoaksorthodontics.com/, which highlighted how access to everyday resources can positively affect families in similar ways. Thanks for sharing such a meaningful story and for the work you’re doing in the community.
This was a good read! Online Protractor
The wobbly stances, perfectly-aimed headshots, and hilariously floppy ragdoll physics of Ragdoll Archers bring this ridiculous duel to life.
