In October, the community construction crew are set to finish their rehabilitation of the 4005 West 5th Street property.
They have been working on finishing up the final touches by installing handrails, completing the back porch, and refinishing the floors. The crew is ready to install carpet in the stairway and the plumbing is being hooked up.
This project has taken many months and the crew members are very excited to see all their work on this project coming together. Looking back at the condition of the property when the crew first started, the amount of improvements they were able to make is remarkable.
Another bit of exciting information, we have begun bidding with the Duluth Housing and Redevelopment Authority on our next rehab property which is located 3007 Devonshire Street.
The Community Construction program will be hosting an open house this Wednesday, October 20th from 1:00pm-4:00pm. The open house will be held at 4005 West 5th Street, Duluth, MN. All are welcome to come celebrate the crew’s fantastic work on the property.
