I read the newsletter from Community Action Duluth and it was full of updates about local events, volunteer dinners, and ways people can get involved during Community Action Month in May to support their neighbors. I remember last year juggling my course work and online Computer Science exam taking services when I was short on time while trying to help out at a community cleanup event, so I get how busy it can feel. It’s nice to see regular people working together and makes me think small acts can really help spread hope in our town.
It is great to see the updates in the May newsletter regarding the seeds and community employment programmes. Last year, I was juggling my local volunteer work and a very heavy course load at the same time. I actually used an online class help service during that period so I could focus more on my community projects without falling behind. Having extra support really helps when you are trying to give back.
